Youth Support Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION: A Youth Support Specialist collaborates closely with the whole O-I-See
Youth team while working with youth, in a one-on-one setting, 4-10 times
per month. Youth empowerment is nurtured through support and guidance while the goals encompass mentoring, daily living skills, or individual skill development. Case load ranges from 6 to 8 youth.
JOB LOCATION: Offices are located in Hudson WI with required travel within St. Croix County. Mileage reimbursement is available when personal vehicle is used for youth sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, education,
or closely related field is
preferred. Individual must have knowledge of human development
and theory for youth 5-17 years of age, must be
well-organized, self-motivated, pay attention to detail, be flexible with various changes, and able to multi-task. Applicant must
pass a criminal background check, driving check, have a valid driver's
license, and car insurance. A 1 year commitment is preferred for
team, youth, and family consistency. Hours do vary, but most consistently are after school hours required until 8:30pm (the latest) Monday through Friday.
WAGE/SALARY: This is for a full-time position, with full benefits that include: vacation pay, holiday pay, long term disability, short term disability,
life insurance, bereavement pay, health insurance, dental insurance, and continued education re-imbursement after 90 days of employment. Salary will be based on experience, but typically ranges up to $31, 2000 (hourly 15) with projected bonuses and raises according to work ethic.
